Now that we (us 3, or 4 if you count my hubby) have hit the 20 week mark, I think we’re finally hitting the honeymoon phase of pregnancy. Well, there are still some parts of pregnancy that are less than enjoyable… but I think they are finally being outweighed by the awesome parts.
Up until this point, some parts have definitely been not so enjoyable. Here are some of the things that have made it bearable! Check them out!
1. Preggie Pops
These Preggie Pops helped me make it through the worst of my nausea the first few months. Plus I loved that they are drug-free and natural. Nothing bad in it for me or the babies.
2. Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar
Okay, so this is definitely an acquired taste. And while I still don’t love it, I still take some every day. It has helped me so much with acid indigestion. I take 1 tablespoon in the morning and it helps to especially keep any heartburn at bay.
When I didn’t think I could eat, but knew the babies and I needed some calories and nutrients, Ensure got me through. Even now when I may not have time to eat at a regular meal or snack, I normally have time to quickly drink one of these guys. The taste isn’t too terrible, and I think it is one of the things that helped me start putting some weight on.
4. Comfy Maternity Athletic Pants
I wear uniform tops to work, and my own athletic or yoga pants. It wasn’t too long before my tummy grew right out of every pair of pants I owned. A, my husband surprised me with these athletic pants from Target and they have quickly become my favorite pair of pants to wear all the time! Think I may have to get another comfy pair here soon. 🙂
5. Brita Water Pitcher
It is so important to drink extra water when you’re pregnant. We have always used Brita pitchers here at home, but lately this little guy has become my best friend. It makes it simple to have clean water always at hand. I now have my eye on the gallon pitcher! 😉
With an increasing bust, I’ve had to invest in a few new bras. Figured I may as well get some nursing bras so I can hopefully use them again after the babies are born. I bought these bras from JcPenney and I LOVE them!
7. Coconut Oil
Pregnancy has made my skin so dry! And though there is no way to really prevent stretch marks, keeping your skin hydrated is still very important. Coconut oil is one of the best moisturizers you can use! Plus, it isn’t very expensive. It is great for people with sensitive skin, too.
8. Biggs & Featherbelle Lip Balms
I swear by these lip balms from Biggs & Featherbelle. I keep one in my purse and one beside my bed to use at night before I go to sleep. (Be sure to check out their body butters! I also have ordered some of their Belly Balm for mamas and am going to try it out soon!)
So, here’s my first list of must-haves, what are some of yours? Please share!
