Welcome to my blog!
Hi, I’m Erin. A 30 something Etsy shop-owner, massage therapist, wife, mommy to adorable twin boys, dog-mommy, daughter, sister, and friend.
My husband, A and I were married in 2013. He is the love of my life, but also my best friend and greatest support. He has been with me through diagnosis and sickness and all that comes with lupus. He is truly the strongest and best person I know. I could go on and on about this guy. 🙂
Life has certainly changed for me over the past few years.
I gave birth in April of 2015 to fraternal twin boys after a very healthy pregnancy. I never knew I could love two little people so much!
They are now energetic almost 3 year olds who keep me on my toes!
My other family and friends are super important to me…

They have supported me and loved me even when I didn’t deserve it!
All in all, I am super blessed.
I started this blog to spread awareness and information.
In 2008, I decided to take steps towards becoming more healthy, and ultimately lose weight and feel better. I ended up achieving those goals and learned a lot along the way. But, sometimes life will surprise you with how quickly it can change, and give you a multitude of new things to learn.
In 2011 I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. After getting over the initial shock, and learning to (pretty much) cope with my illness, I make a conscious effort every day to continue on this lifelong journey to be the healthiest I can be. I refuse to just give up and give in to an autoimmune disease. I will do what I can to be healthy and live the best life I can. There is still so much to learn, but I also want to share what I do know with people who could use this information.
Since then I have found a passion for wellness, nutrition, fitness, and just trying to live a healthy lifestyle! I definitely don’t know everything, but I am eager to share what I know, and to learn from others as I go along. The human body is so complex, I am sure this will be a never ending learning experience!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Please feel free to leave me a note about yourself, your story and your contact information. If you have any questions, ask away! I love to hear from readers!!
Again, thanks for stopping by,
Erin
DF Nice start on your blog here! Keep on writing about your life and lupus. You have a knack for self expression and a nice conversational easy-to-read tone. Thanks for a great post. LA
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for the great compliments!
You said my page is an inspiration, but yours is so much more to me. Look at what all you’ve accomplished through such a short time. I’d love to know your wellness plan in great details. You are a strong, smart, beautiful young lady, and an inspiration to me and many other’s out there I’m sure.
Hi Erin!
So glad I found your blog. I’m newly diagnosed with lupus and still trying to find my “new normal.” I was running ultra marathons before the diagnosis, and I know that I probably won’t go back to that level of running. I’m okay with that, just want to stay active and healthy! Glad to have other healthy active people out there to connect with that know the struggle. 🙂
Julie
Thanks for your comment Julie! Lupus definitely doesn’t have to be the end of activity and health, I promise you that. Good luck with your journey, and I hope to see you visit here again!
So happy to find your blog. I am about a month away from completing IVF with a donor’s eggs. I am 42 and was diagnosed with SLE in 2010. The chance of getting pregnant with twins is 30% and my spouse, family and friends do not think I should take the risk. All the hormones leading up,to IVF have been really hard on my body and have made me feel more pain than I’ve felt in a long time. I am so happy to know there is someone out there with Lupus successfully pregnant with twins! You are an inspiration!
So glad you found my blog Jennifer!
Everything has gone so well with my pregnancy so far, and I am excited to hear how you do as well! I hope you will check back in with me and keep me updated!
