How far along? 32 weeks
Size of Babies: Our babies are the size of squashes. 🙂
Total weight gain/loss: Up 15 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight.
Symptoms: Lots of indigestion and heartburn. Lots of Braxton Hicks contractions. Legs and feet are swelling.
Maternity clothes? Growing out of some of my favorites.
Stretch marks? On the very front of my belly.
Best moment this week: Seeing our boys on the u/s!
Miss Anything? Sleep. Being comfortable.
Movement: A ton! Still! My tummy sometimes looks like it has 2 aliens in it.
Food cravings: Milk, water and carby stuff.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Mexican food and meat. STILL! Bleh!
Have you started to show yet: Hubby is sweet and says he can’t even tell I’m pregnant. 😉
Labor Signs: Nada!
Belly Button in or out? Still there!
Wedding rings on or off? On for now, but now that it is warming up, that may be changing here soon.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Just uncomfortable, which makes me kind of grumpy.
Looking forward to: Holding these little babies. 🙂
This week we had an appointment with our perinatologist for an ultrasound and a biophysical profile. Which meant we got an awesomely long ultrasound. 🙂
Baby A
Baby A slept through most of his portion of the ultrasound. They were doing the biophysical profile to check for movement… and he was a sleepy little dude! He is still head down and until he woke up we weren’t able to see his face. Once he started moving he was all over the place though! We were able to see that he has hair already. 🙂 So cute! His head is also measuring a little bit bigger than his brother’s. Maybe he will have a big noggin like his mommy. They estimated his weight at 3 lbs 14 ounces. He was also practicing his breathing. So glad to know they are growing and developing right where they should be!
Baby B
Baby B was a little wiggly worm during his portion of the ultrasound. He is measuring just 2 ounces less than Baby A, coming in at 3 lbs 12 ounces. He was also practicing his breathing. 🙂
I saw my OB later in the day. I am measuring 38 weeks now. I also got a prescription for heartburn medication as it had gotten pretty terrible the last week or so. So much so that I could just eat some cereal and fruit for breakfast and have heartburn. I was taking the max amount of tums, taking apple cider vinegar… nothing was taking care of it. The medication has pretty much already done it’s job though!
I have 2 or so nights of terrible sleep and then will have a couple nights of so-so sleep. On the bad nights I wake up 10-12 times during the night, and sometimes will be awake for an hour or more at a time at some point. On the ‘good’ nights I only wake up 2-3 times, may or may not have trouble going back to sleep during one of those times and wake up looking tired but feeling passably okay to function during the day. The bad nights? I feel zombie-ish and I am miserable. Falling back to sleep is normally hard because either I am uncomfortable or the babies are moving around a lot. Or both. Or I have a few Braxton Hicks. For all the fussing though, I do think I will miss this belly… or really just having the boys with me all the time. Feeling them there, moving or sleeping, or hiccuping. I am trying to enjoy that part despite being so uncomfortable because my pregnancy is going so fast!
I worked A LOT on the nursery this past week, and then A and I got the cribs put together this weekend. It’s all coming together! I have a little less than 2 weeks of work left. Aaaaaahhhhhh! It’s gonna be over before I know it. 🙁 🙁 🙁
Be sure to check out our other pregnancy updates:
This is when Katelyn was born 32 weeks weighing 3.8lb 17″ long & was still all hairy. She hadnt developed sucking yet so they had to teach her she was 1 month 3 days old when she got to go home weighing 4lbs 12 oz I believe 🙂 (21 yrs ago tomorrow St patricks day) She had her first brain surgery (shunt due to hydrocephalus) she came out of surgery with a green bow in her hair (well the hair they didnt shave) We’ve been very lucky she’s been able to live a normal healthy life 🙂
Aww she must have been so tiny! I am 33 weeks today so hopefully the boys are closer to 4.5 lbs now. My goal is to keep them in there as long as possible of course, but especially until they are 5lbs or more.
praying for you, your hubby, these little ones, labor & delivery and your medical team… Before, during and after!!
Thank you Marina!
